Lecture "Misery and brilliance of Lielberķene manor" on November 23

The story of the ten-year long journey of the Lielberķene manor from a ruin to elegant and attractive charm today is instructive, engaging and valuable. A difficult, heavy, muddy, long recovery path that benefits the mutual understanding between the architect and the innovators, and accepting that the process of creating a new mansion is a life-time school on the construction site.

The lecture will be led by the architecture restoration expert of the State Cultural Monument Protection Inspection Pēteris Blūms.

Ilze and Aldis Melgalvji, owners of Lielberkene manor, who have been devoting themselves to the maintenance and improvement of the estate and its territory for more than 10 years, will also share the inspirational story of Berķene.
