Day of Valmiera city and market June 10

10 June is the Day of Valmiera city where children together with parents will celebrate “Valmiera Summer Theater Festival. Children”. From 10 AM to 4 PM everybody is welcomed to try special festival drink “Gardu muti”, participate in workshops and play yard games.

This time market will be joined by both the most experienced Kalnciema Quarter countrymen and craftsmen and also guests from Valmiera who will offer fresh seasonal goods and handmade art pieces.

Programme:

From 11 AM to 4 PM

On the stage there will be a greenhouse where children and actors will “grow” theatre. Kids should take dolls and other toys with them. By giving the second life to them, children will make a theatre play.

Next to stage children will play yard games. Both speed and attention will be practised.

From 11.30 AM

In the gallery there will be workshops where you can glue, paint and draw festival posters, as well as create an etiquette for the special festival drink “Gardu muti”. Have you seen river Gauja and its steep banks? In the gallery there will be a part of it and its Park of Sense.
